Photous Photography was started by Richard Houghton who has been involved in photography since the age of seven when first using his Dad’s Kodak ‘Box Brownie’! (So this is when the love affair with photography really began.)
Over the years Richard has developed and extended his photographic skills by attending courses held by a variety of distinguished and reputable individuals; Lord Snowdon and Patrick Litchfield. Certainly the friendly and skilful approach used by Richard has greatly assisted when working with clients from overseas and in many differing industries.
Originally working predominantly in Weddings Richard has gradually extended his repertoire into Events and Portrait photography. Occasionally finding the time to relax and shoot his own personal favourites; wildlife.
In recent years Richard moved into digital photography, sometimes kicking and screaming! The skills required in today’s digital world are even more varied and so Richard has attended a range of courses to further enhance these skills and produce lasting memories of high quality.
Today, Richard is a member of The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and also The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP). He continues to use Canon digital photographic equipment and their top quality Professional lenses.
